Lisa Ann Hauke
Evansville, Ind.
Lisa Ann Hauke, of International Falls, Minnesota, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Lisa was born in Ellwood City, Pa., on December 2, 1965, to Phillip and Marilyn Collier. Lisa spent most of her childhood in Valparaiso, Indiana, graduating from Valparaiso High School. Lisa attended Purdue University and graduated with Honors in Interior Design in 1988. Lisa took her first job in Indianapolis, Ind., working for EMRO Marketing (Marathon Oil) designing Speedway Gas Stations. In 1991, Lisa married Mark Allen Hauke. They made their first home in Monroe, La. Lisa worked for the Parrish Engineer and designed homes. She began her lifelong volunteer efforts with the Silver Waters Girl Scout Council. In 1995, Lisa was blessed with her first child, Alex Allen Hauke.
In 1996, the Hauke Family moved to Macon, Ga. In 1998, Lisa was blessed with her second child, Nathan Collier Hauke. She devoted herself to her children and family. In 2001, Lisa and her family relocated to Gladstone in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Lisa continued her selfless efforts of helping others. Lisa was active with the Gladstone school system on a daily basis ranging from organizing the PT3 to Office and Teaching support. She was a dedicated hockey mom who loved watching her boys and their friends and teammates develop. Lisa was always willing to do anything asked of her.
In 2011, the Hauke family made their final move to Rainy Lake in International Falls, Minn. Lisa loved waking to the view of the lake, warm day swims, cold day hikes, and the sounds of the loons. Lisa loved traveling, reading, working with children, playing games, hiking, outdoor activities but most of all being a mom. She enjoyed coordinating activities at the Backus Community Center. Lisa was truly blessed with the gift of helping others and could always be found with a smile on her face.
