Daniel Dane Mauck
Cynthiana, Ind.
Daniel Dane Mauck, 64, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at his residence.
He was born on October 29, 1948, in Evansville the son of Charles Leonard and Gladys Pauline (Boyle) Mauck.
Danny was a graduate of North Posey High School class of 1967, and served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Poseyville American Legion #278, Wadesville VFW Post 6576, and a member of the Disabled American Veteran IN#7. He was the Business Agent for the IBEW Local 1393 and was employed at Duke Energy Gibson Station. Danny enjoyed spending time with his five grandchildren; family was very important to him. He was also an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Deborah (Higgins) Mauck; son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Misty Mauck and their children, Melissa and Maya, of Poseyville; daughter and son-in-law, Dana and Joe (Danny) Elpers and their children, Joshua, Kaleb and MaKenna, of Cynthiana; father, Leonard Mauck; sister and brother-in-law, Susie and Greg Tooley and children, Lindsay (Mark) Schmitt and Kyle and Whitney Tooley; brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Kathy Mauck and children, Korey (Lisa) and Kristopher (Kendra) Mauck; brother-in-law, Richard (Kim) Higgins and children, Amanda (Corey) Sills, Zachary and Eric Higgins; several great-nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline in 2009.
Services will be Monday, July 8, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville with Baret Fawbush and Rev. Paul Huntsman officiating. Burial will be in the Mauck Cemetery with full military rites.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
