Joan Offerman
Evansville, Ind.
Joan Offerman, 82, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013, at VNA Charlier Hospice Center. She was born March 2, 1931 to Russell and Frances (Leggatt) Burns.
Joan was a member of St. Peters UCC and the Women's Guild and also a member of the Daughters of the Nile. She was a 1949 graduate of Central High School and was very involved in organizing their class reunions.
Joan was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed having her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren at her home.
Joan is survived by her husband of 62 years, Bob Offerman; daughters, Karen Eades, and her husband, Michael, of Newburgh, Patty Goodson, and her husband, Joe, of Darmstadt, and Laurel Rawden, and her husband, George, of Newburgh; grandchildren, Jessica Chamberlain, and her husband, Todd, Adrienne Eades, Austin Goodwin, and Nick and Emma Rawden; great-grandchildren, Christian and Ella Chamberlain.
Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Monday, September 2, 2013 at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, 6300 First Ave., Evansville, IN 47710.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at the funeral home with Revs. Brian Bushkill and John Trinka officiating.
Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum.
