John R. 'Johnny' Miller
Evansville, Ind.
John R. "Johnny" Miller, 90, of Evansville passed away at 8:57 a.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at North Park Nursing Center.
Johnny was born October 7, 1922, in Ft. Branch, Ind., to Jacob G. and Myrtle J. (Tracer) Miller. He served in the Army in World War II. Johnny retired from Whirlpool in 1987 after 21 years in the paint department. He was a member of VFW Charles Denby Post #2953. Johnny was a great lover of kids and animals.
He is survived by his caregiver of 30 years, Charlotte Gail Whitmer and her family, as dear as his own; daughter, Felicia; son, Nathan and their children; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 14, 2013, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel - 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville with Reverend Paul Jacobs officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Ft. Branch, Ind.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2013, and from 9 a.m. until service time, Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel.
