Larry Eugene Burk, 58, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at St. Mary's Medical Center.
Larry was born in Youngstown, Ohio on June 21, 1955. He retired in 2010 from METS Mobility Transportation as a diesel mechanic. Larry was a United States Army veteran who served during the Vietnam war. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and NASCAR fan, especially Dale Earnhardt. Larry was also involved with bodybuilding at Gold's Gym.
Larry is survived by his wife, Ronda (Phillips) Burk of Evansville, IN; daughters, Kristy Hale of Newburgh, IN, Krystal (Tony) Norman of Evansville, IN; "Mum", Dorothy "Dot" Phillips; grandchildren, Jeffrey Hale, Alexis Morris, Kshi Norman and Nevaeh Norman; siblings, Austin Maxwell Burk Jr., Donnie Burk and Ronnie Burk.
Larry was preceded in death by his twin brother, Gary Burk, father, Austin Maxwell Burk Sr., and his Granny who raised him, Bertha.
A celebration of Larry's life will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday September 23, 2013 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Kim Wells officiating.
Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until service time on Monday.
