Charles "Charlie" C. Baumeyer

Charles "Charlie" Clifford Baumeyer, 91, Evansville, Indiana passed away at 3:58 pm, Thursday, October 3, 2013 at his nephew's home.
Charlie was born April 3, 1922 in Evansville the son of Charles and Olga (Krietemeier) Baumeyer and was a graduate of F.J. Reitz High School. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during WWII and was a member of VFW and American Legion. Charlie was a self employed carpenter. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.
He is survived by children, Judith Ann Unger (Ben Kiburis) of Rosedale, IN and John Baumeyer (Donna) and David Baumeyer, both of Evansville. 6 grandchildren,
Richard Unger (Lynn), Robert Unger (Kelli), Jennifer Ramsey (Ralph), Chris Baumeyer (Julia), Marshal and Aaron Jones and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christine "Christy" Ann Jones in August 2013, brother, James "Jim" Baumeyer in November 1993 and sister, Anna Mae (Baumeyer) Jackson in October 2008.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Steve and Greta Jackson for their care, support, and love they gave to Charlie.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 am, Monday, October 7, 2013 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel - 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville with Reverend Daniel Walker officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery where the Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial will perform full military rites.
Friends may call from 2 pm until 6 pm, Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel and again from 9 am until time of service at 10 am, Monday.
