Rosemary (Gammon) Egli Kennedy, age 86, of Evansville, passed away Monday, January 6, 2014 at the West River Health Campus.
Rosemary was born September 13, 1927 in Evansville to the late John and Velma (Kleiman) Gammon. She was a lifetime, active member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, member of Northside Civitan, the Gamma Beta chapter of Sigma Alpha, the Three Arts Club and a volunteer fund-raiser for Altrusa. She had worked as a purchasing agent for Lensing Wholesale Company for over 17 years before retiring in 1987.
Surviving are two daughters, Marcy (Mark) Powers and Elaine (Ron) Inkenbrandt, both of Evansville; brother, John "Bud" (Oretha) Gammon of Murray, KY; four grandchildren, Joe (Patty) Inkenbrandt of San Francisco, CA, Cory Stone of Henderson, KY and Stephanie Burns and Stacy (Shane) Siegelin, both of Evansville; great grandchildren, Addie, Will and Sophie Stone of Henderson and Reed Inkenbrandt of San Francisco, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Kalley Kennedy in 2010 and by her sister, Betty "Hope" Fussner.
Funeral services for Rosemary will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 2300 Washington Avenue, Rev. Don Gray and Chaplain Greg Barnett officiating.
Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 A.M. until service time on Saturday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions may be made to the or to St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
The family wishes to thank the West River Legacy Unit and Holiday Retirement Center for their outstanding care.
