Joseph M. Barnett "Fuzzy", 65, of Evansville, IN, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2014 at St. Mary's Medical Center.
Joe was born on September 19, 1948. He was a graduate of Castle High School. He was a United States Army Veteran, who served in Vietnam. Joe worked at Alcoa for 34 years. He was of the Episcopalian faith, a lover of hunting, fishing, motorcycles and sports, he was an avid Colts fan. Joe also enjoyed playing cards with Bart and his buddies at the VFW Post #1114.
Joe is survived by his wife of 30 years, Karen; sons, J.M. and Maverick (Shon); granddaughters, Tiffany (Bryan) and Ashley; great grandchildren, Hannah, Landon, Kendall and Zeb; canine, Gracie and felines, Bailey and Joe's shadow, Sara; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe Harmon, Barb and Dick Cotton, Sandy and Dan Jones, Steve and Wanda Harmon and Becki and Larry Fulkerson; nieces, nephews and friends.
Joe was preceded in death by his best friend, Larry "Doc" Orth on January 1, 2014.
Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Avenue, Evansville, IN 47711 is handling the arrangements. A private service will be held at a later date.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Patel, Nurse, Matt, Tech Randall and all the staff at St. Mary's Medical Center for their special care.
A very special thank you to Maverick and Shon Taylor, Tiffany and Ashley for all of their support and help during this time.
