Reverend Willard Clement, age 79, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 6:54 PM, Sunday, February 23, 2014, at Select Specialty Hospital, Evansville, IN.

Willard was born in Hebbardsville, KY in 1934. His father Harry and mother Honer owned a General Store in Bluff City, KY. His father also worked at a coal mine; was vice president of a Coal Miners Union, and was Head Deacon of Fairview General Baptist Church. His mother was a homemaker and song leader at the church; she had a beautiful voice, and was a wonderful cook. Willard went to school in Hebbardsville, he played on the basketball team. He worked at Chrysler Corp. in Evansville then went to work at Atlas Tack in Henderson. He was in charge of general maintenance at the Rathbone Home in Evansville. Willard got the call to preach at the age of 9, but actually started to preach at 19. He co-pastored in Evansville at Christ Temple for 12 years then Christ Corner in Henderson for 2 years, and then founded Haven Pentecostal in June 1968. Willard loved life and loved people. Most of all, he wanted everyone to serve God whole heartedly.

Willard was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Honer Clement and first wife Beulah Joyce Clement. 1 Sister: Jodie Donahue. 2 Brothers: Raymond Clement, Wesley "Bud" Clement

Nieces and Nephews

Relatives and friends are invited to Willard's Life Celebration from 2:00 to 8:00 PM Friday and again on Saturday, March 1, 2014 starting at 9:00 AM at Haven Pentecostal Church, Henderson, KY. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday at the church with the Reverend Jason Lawson and Reverend Troy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, Ky.
