Kenneth R. "Bud" Moore
Evansville, Ind.
Kenneth R. "Bud" Moore, 92, passed away June 5, 2014 at Atria Senior Living in Newburgh.
He was born in Sullivan Co., Ind. May 15, 1922 the son of Kenneth Starwood Moore and Bessie Hanley Moore. Kenneth was retired from Chrysler Corp. was a WWII Army Veteran, a member of the American Legion Post#139 in Sullivan, Lesing Masonic Lodge #464 in Evansville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, also a daughter Marie Antonette Moore, and four sisters, Mary Creighton, Dola Starkey, Louis Wiatt, and Rebecca Pirtle.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Vel Marie Cavanaugh Moore, whom he married on March 21, 1944, also several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are 2 p.m. Monday at Center Ridge Cemetery with Rev. David Cox officiating. Military Graveside rites by the Sullivan, Shelburn and Hymera American Legion Posts and the Sullivan VFW Post. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Monday at Banks and Brust Funeral Home.
