Leona (Shorty) !! You are a wonderful lady and a lady that I enjoyed calling "Mom" !! You always knew what to say and always made me feel better !! We had some good time at the VFW and all the times we were all together with your family!! Your entire family has never been a friend to me they always treated me like family!! You all have my thoughts and prayers during this time and I will remain a part of your family forever !! Opal, Virgil, Debbie, Becky and Ben may God put his arms around you and comfort you through this difficult time. Love you all !! Sue Wahl

My heart goes out to all of you with the loss of Aunt Leona. I remember staying at your place on Tennessee Street, and I thought she made the best 'drip' coffee. It is never easy losing a parent, especially when both are now gone. It is the last thread that holds a family together. I wish I could attend the service, but Bill and I are still in Florida. However, each and everyone of you will be in my thoughts. May God surround you with love and wonderful memories. With deepest sympathy. Arla (Reuter) Akin

R.I.P Aunt Leona. Opal, Virgil, Debby, Becky, Ben may you have Gods comforting arms around you in your time of sorrow. I will always remember the times spent during the summers there. Aunt Leona, you are responsible for my very favorite comfort food you fixed all the time...hamburger/tomatoes/macaroni. I will cherish my fond memories.
