Owensville, Indiana
Irma J. Stone, 75, of Owensville, Indiana, passed away at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN on March 5, 2017. She was born to the late John A. and Lydia Anna (Buck) Weiss on August 31, 1941 in Haubstadt, IN.
She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch, IN, Red Hat Society, and was a Pink Lady at Gibson General Hospital. Irma worked at Owensville Convalescent for 20 years and the Sunrise Liquor Store in Haubstadt, IN for many years.
Irma is survived by her loving husband John W. Stone of Owensville, IN, son James (Annette) Stone of Haubstadt, IN, daughters Lee Ann (Rick) Gunderman of Endicott, NY and Sherry (Frank) Kiesel of Haubstadt, IN, and sisters Dorothy Penner of Lafayette, IN and Bernice Emge of Newburgh, IN.
Services will be on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Stodghill Funeral Home on highway 168 in Fort Branch, IN with Fathers Tony Ernst and Biju Thomas as co-celebrants. Visitation will be at Stodghill Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 and again on Thursday from 9:00 AM until service time. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Branch, IN. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gibson County Animal Services. Expressions of sympathy made at stodghillfuneralhome.com.

The Stone and Weiss family has my deepest sympathy. Irma was my friend and I will very much miss speaking with her and trading plants. I'm having some health issues and am not sure I can attend the funeral. John, I'm as close as the phone if you need anything. Again I'm very sorry for your loss.
