Margaret "Margie" Dannheiser

Evansville, Ind.

Margaret "Margie" Dannheiser, 86, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Monday, June 19, 2017 at St. Vincent Medical Center.

Margie was born in Evansville, Indiana on May 30, 1931 to Charles B. and Genevieve (Kaltenbacher) Hayden. She was a 1949 graduate of Memorial High School and a 1952 graduate of St. Mary's School of Nursing. Margie was a nurse at St. Mary's for 39 years. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church where she was active in the Altar Society, Choir, and Over Fifty's Club. Margie was very involved with Right To Life and was a member of 3 Arts Teachers' Wives' Club and Tecumseh Lodge in Indianapolis. Margie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing Solitare, working crossword puzzles and watching her favorite TV shows, Wheel of Fortune and Everybody Loves Raymond.

Margie is survived by her daughters, Becky Dannheiser (Jim Hewig) of Evansville, IN and Janie Troutman (Bradley) of Owensboro, KY; sons, Donald Dannheiser (Doris) of Evansville, IN and Michael Dannheiser (Terri) of Evansville, IN; sister, Kathy G. Hale of Evansville, IN; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Donald Dannheiser in 2008.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2301 North Stockwell Rd., Evansville, IN 47715. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM where a memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Browning Funeral Home and again from 9:00 AM until service time at the church.
