Evansville, Ind.
Wanda Jean Brank-Alston, 74, born June 14, 1943, in Henderson, Ky., was called to eternal rest on September 9, 2017, while in her home in Evansville, Ind.
After attending Oliver Street and Douglas High School, Wanda moved to New York. She worked for Winthrop Hospital in New York for 30 years before retiring.
Wanda is preceded in death by her father, Henry Brank; and brother, Will Brank; and grandson, Akkie Thompson.
Left to cherish her memories are her mother, Mary Frances Chancey; husband, Harold Wayne Alston; two daughters, Tamiko and Fran Alston; son, Artinius Alston; grandchildren, Terrance Alston, LaQuon Alston, Najia Thompson, Kamia Thompson, Arshad Qusay and Aailyah Alston; her dear sister-friend; Helen Thomas (John); cousin, Joyce Murry; eight great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Visitation will be 10 to noon Wednesday, with funeral to follow at noon at Osborne Funeral Home. Osborne has been entrusted with final care.
