Jean Woodford Oct. 25th, 1920 – July 19th, 2013 It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Woodford in Duncan, B.C. Jean was born to Ethel and Josef Doerflinger in Armstrong B.C. She lived in the interior of B.C. until she moved to Duncan in 1970 to take up a teaching position in the Cowichan School District. Jean enjoyed many activities including travelling, swimming, folk dancing and gardening. Her appreciation of the arts was varied. She loved opera, jazz, the symphony, dance and theatre. She volunteered her time to support organizations such as the Canadian Cancer Society, the Cowichan Historical Society and the Cowichan Music Festival. Jean will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of the Cowichan District Hospital for their compassionate care and support. A celebration of Jean's life will be held on Saturday, July 27th at 11:00 am in Sand's Funeral Chapel, 187 Trunk Road, Duncan B.C. A tea will follow in the Reception Centre.
