Joe Wallman, age 58, of Holt, passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013. He was born May 15,1954 in Alamogordo, N.M., and was a lifelong resident of Okaloosa County.
Mr. Wallman was retired as a welder from Okaloosa County after 26 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid outdoorsman.
Survivors include his mother, Julie Wooley; wife of 39 years, Barbara Wallman; daughter, Cindy Wren (Mike); brother, Jimmy Wallman; sister, Shirley Chestnut; nieces, April and Jessica; grandchild, Cole Tanner.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m.Thursday, Feb. 7, from the chapel of Brackney Funeral Service with Rev. Alton Nixon officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Bethel Cemetery.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

I am sorry for the loss of Joe Wallman. The loss of a loved one is a very difficult thing to go through. May the family find comfort in knowing that they can throw their burdens on Jehovah and he himself will sustain you.

Julie, I'm so sorry for your loss. I've always heard losing a child was the worse thing that could happen to a person. Take comfort in knowing he will be spending time with Jesus and will have eternal life. God Bless the family and friends of Joe during this difficult time!!!! If he was anything like his mother,he was a great person.

Joe was a gentle, giving, loyal friend. He loved and was devoted to his family. He was a mentor and step dad to my son Jeff. He was loved dearly and will be missed by us all.
