Betty Cato, 71, of Baker, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 4, 2013. She was at home, surrounded by her family.
Betty was born Jan. 24, 1942 in Charlotte, N.C., and moved to Baker in 2004. She retired from the Metter, Ga., school system and was a faithful member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church.
Survivors include her two sons, Mark (Wanda) Cato of Escambia Farms, and Paul (Jennifer) Cato of Crestview; one sister, Helen (Robert) Malbeck of Pensacola; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life is 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, at the Brackney Funeral Service chapel, with Brothers Earl Thompson and Larry Sweat officiating. Burial follows in Live Oak Park Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
