Mr. Alfred Monroe Adams, age 88, of Holt, died Thursday, May 5, 2016 in a Crestview health care facility.

Mr. Adams was born in Perdido, Ala., and resided in Flomaton, Ala. prior to moving to Holt two years ago.

He worked as a maintenance superintendent for the Civil Service for a number of years. He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served with the U.S. Marine Corps.

His wives, Kathleen Pauley Adams and Margie Kelley Adams, preceded him in death.

Survivors are his son, Alfred Preston Adams of Holt; brother, Ron Adams of Mississippi; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services include visitation at 1 p.m. May 11 at Craver's Funeral Home, 44 Foshee Road, Brewton, Ala., followed by funeral services with military honors at 2 p.m. Mr. Larry White will officiate. Interment will be in Union Cemetery.
