Charles W Miller, age 78, of Samson, Ala., passed away Monday, Sept. 9, 2013 at home with his family at his side. He was born in Pittsburg, Pa., on June 5, 1935, and moved to the area 12 years ago.

Charles was a retired electronics technician after 32 years with FAA, a member of Lime Springs United Methodist Church, and a United States Air Force veteran. He was an avid fisherman, accomplished musician and reader.

Survivors are his wife of 54 years, Carolyn Miller; three daughters, Connie (Mike) Fleming, Cindy (David) Fountain, and Celes Miller; one sister, Georgeina Anderson; seven grandchildren, Heath Fleming, Kendrick (Ashley) Fleming, Cecilee Fleming, Chase (Kristen) Fountain, Shae Fountain, Ashtin (TJ) Clements and Cameron Cowan.

Also: one great grandchild, Sayler Clements, and one soon to join the family, Ayden Fountain.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral services at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, from the chapel of Brackney Funeral Service with Revs. John Wesley Spivey and Phillip Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Bethel Cemetery.
