Our beloved father passed into our heavenly Father's arms on December 16, 2016, exactly 6 weeks after his soul mate of 59 years.
Don was born January 2, 1937 in Evergreen AL. He was the oldest of four children. He joined the Air Force at age 18, he dedicated his life to our country.
He met and married his lifelong bride in Muskogee, OK. Together they traveled the world serving our country, and raising four children.
After retiring from the Military, they moved to Oklahoma where he graduated from the University of Tulsa. He embarked on a new career and became the first City Manager of Tahlequah, OK. From there he held City Manager positions across Oklahoma and Colorado.
Desiring warmer weather, they moved to Crestview, FL where he accepted the position of City Administrator. Dad loved Crestview and the people who lived there. In 2003 he retired for the second time.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Morrison.
He leaves behind four daughters, Danya Morrison, (Jeff Stephens), Lisa Geis (Patrick), Kim Morrison, Tracy Pickens (Chris); brothers, Demond (Johnnie) and Doug; sister, Dale (Jim) and their children; grandsons, David, Brandon, Jarrod Gough and Joshua Whisenhunt; granddaughters, Rachel, Caitlin, Madison Geis, Stephanie Whisenhunt and his princess Caroline Pickens; lastly, his great-grandchildren, Isabella, Devin, Everet and Evelyn.
Our family sends our sincere gratitude to Bianca Milam, Rhonda Wilson, Bear Frye, and the second-floor staff at Bayside Manor.
