James Gary Pippins, 65, died Sept. 4, 2013. Jim was born in Pensacola to Mal and Idell McCart Pippins (both deceased).

His brother, Phillip Houston Pippins, also preceded him in death.

Survivors are his only child, Penelope Lynn (Penny) Rader; and his three grandchildren, Mollie Smith, Jaden Rader and Bella Rader.

Also, one brother and three sisters: Larry (Linda) Pippins, Peggy (Reese) Dyer, Debby (Wayne) Melvin, and Patti (Reggie) Gilmore; half-brother, Joe (Cherie) Pippins, and half-sister Mary (Steve) Fuller; a stepbrother, Mike (Carole) Little; a stepsister, Linda Fleming; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jim proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam conflict, transporting military personnel from the U.S.S. Ogden to shore.

A private family service will be conducted Wednesday, Sept. 11.

The family greatly appreciates all the love, prayers and concerns of their family and friends.
