Mr. John Gilbert Harris, age 70, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2013. He was born April 11, 1943 in Crandon, Wis., to Hollie and Ethel Robison Harris.

Mr. Harris was a resident of Laurel Hill. He was Mormon by faith and a member of the Latter Day Saint Church in Crestview. He worked in sales for many years before retiring. He was a friend of Bill W. He was an excellent horseman, and was a talented farrier. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His work ethic was impeccable. He was a true Wrangler (Cowboy), and was honest to a fault.

His parents preceded Mr. Harris in death.

His survivors are his loving wife of 48 years, Grace Harris of Laurel Hill; his children, Paula Kollauf and significant other Mr. Kim Terry of Wisconsin, Grant Gilbert Harris and wife Karina of DeFuniak Springs, Amy Lynn of Crestview and Mark James Harris and wife Angel Gabriel Harris of DeFuniak Springs.

Also: two brothers, Lloyd Harris and wife Janice, Hollie Harris, Jr.; one sister Linda Lou Maull and husband John all of Wisconsin, 13 grandchildren Eric Kollauf, Daniel Kollauf, Tom Reategui, Marie Reategui, Caleb Harris, Logan Harris, Lukas Harris, Andrew Linares, Jeffrey Linares, Bailey Welty, Bryson Harbridge, Brandon Harbridge, and Breanna Grace Harris.

Memorial services are at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3 Del Cerro Camino, Crestview, with Bishop Kevin Parker officiating.

Floral arrangements are being accepted.
