Juanita A. King, 74, of Crestview, died Wednesday, April 17, with her family and friends by her side. She was born on June 29, 1938 in Brooklyn, Ala., and lived in Okaloosa County for 50 years.

King was as an engineer with Sprint Telephone Company for 38 years. She was a member of Westside Assembly of God. She enjoyed playing her guitar and singing. She was a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God; her last church was Springhill Assembly of God in Munson.
Her sons, Forrest Randall King and James Edward King Jr., preceded her in death, along with her husband, James Edward King Sr., parents Jimmy H. and Reesie Smith, and brother Edward Smith.
Survivors include her son, Marc King; brother, Donnie Smith; sister, Barbara Ann Cheatom; and grandchildren, Kyle James King and Charles Federick Peacock.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. April 20, from the chapel of Brackney Funeral Service, with Rev. T.V. Kolmetz officiating. Burial followed in the Old Bethel Cemetery.
The family received friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
