Mazie Pearson passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013. Two of the most important aspects of her life were family and faith. She was a member of Olive Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir for many years. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.

Mazie is preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Reese DuRant and Clyde B. Pearson; daughter, Marilyn Hard and brothers, Ralph Carver and John D. Carver.
Survivors are her children, Deborah Norris, Charla Touchstone (Robert Perez), Rebecca Price (William), and Mona Oxier (Mark); stepchildren, Mary Charles Ward (David), Nina Ruth Letourneau (Don), Laura Jean Butscher, Ray Pearson (Linda), Huey Pearson (Susan), Robin Pearson, Kitty Jones (Phil), Daby Snipes (Boyce), and John Pearson (Karen); sisters, Mavis Garrett, Sarah Allen, Dosia Gilmore.
Survivors also include 27 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2013 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South and one hour prior the day of the service from Olive Baptist Church, 1836 East Olive Road, Pensacola.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Olive Baptist Church with Dr. Ted Traylor and Dr. Jerry Passmore officiating. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
