Roger T. Kelley, age 67, of Crestview, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Silvercrest Manor. He was born on Feb. 18, 1946 and was a lifelong resident of Okaloosa County.

He was raised in Escambia Farms and attended Escambia Farms School until his senior year, then graduated from Baker High School.

Roger retired at the rank of tech sergeant from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service. During his career, he spent 12 months in Vietnam. After retirement, he became a long haul driver for 20 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Garden City, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors.

His parents, Frank and Agnes Kelley, and a brother, Allan Kelley preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Kelley; one daughter, Deborah Diane; four stepchildren, LTC Joanne Cline, William N. Cline III, Jennifer M. Rairdon, and Charles M. Cline; one brother, Paul and his wife Jeanette Kelley; two sisters, Joye Garrett and Sandra and her husband, Danny Johnson. Survivors also include his brother-in-law, Joel Topper; sisters-in-law, Teresa Topper and Catherine Arthur; 12 grandchildren; 11 nieces and nephews, and various great-nieces and great-nephews.

A celebration of life is at 3 p.m. Monday, June 10, from the First Baptist Church of Garden City with the Rev. Dennis Robinson officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Wounded Warriors Project.
