Minnie C. (Knotts) Lassiter

Minnie C. Lassiter, 93, formerly of Troy, Ala., passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior Jesus, on Aug. 7, 2014.

Her husband James D. Lassiter; father and mother, Cleveland Isaiah and Lovie Annie Parker Knotts of Troy; one sister, Robbie McLeod of Troy; five brothers, Clevonza Knotts, Desmon Knotts, James Knotts, Grover Knotts, and Gillis Knotts all of Troy, preceded her in death.

Survivors are her daughter Beverly Styron (Bill) of Crestview; grandson John Tyler of Crestview; granddaughter Kim Senseney (Shane) of Goose Creek, S.C. Survivors also include her sisters, Eunice Borland (Joe), Ann Grammer, and sister-in-law Betty Knotts, all of Troy.

Pallbearers were Nephew Ronnie Knotts, Richard Knotts, Jeff Knotts, Mike Knotts, Freddie Borland, Joe Briganti.

Mrs. Lassiter was the oldest living charter member of Hephzibah Baptist Church, Troy. She was salutatorian of Goshen High School in 1942. She was a homemaker and a mighty prayer warrior for the Lord.

Services are at 2 p.m. Aug. 11 from the chapel of Brackney Funeral Service. Visitation is one hour prior to the service.
