Charles Eugene Bost, 62, of 192 Lippard Farm Road in Statesville, N.C., passed away Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013 at home following an extended illness.

He was born Aug. 3, 1951 in Iredell County, N.C., but grew up in Crestview.
Survivors are his parents, Charles Preston Bost and Lorene Deal Bost, his wife, Mary Ann Hammonds Bost, all of Statesville; one son, Michael Eugene Bost of Raleigh, N.C.; and two daughters, Celena Ann Bost Borders of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Rebecca Lynn Bost of Statesville.
Also: two sisters, Brenda Bost Wooten and husband Roy of Baker, and Cathy Bost Sonneville of Statesville; four grandchildren, Brianna, Broderick, Bailey and Bethany Bost, all of Statesville; and one great-grandchild, Zyquan Bost of Statesville.
The funeral service is 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20 at Chapman Funeral Home chapel in Stony Point, N.C. and burial will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery, Statesville. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service.
