I am so sorry to hear of Barbara's passing. She was so helpful and encouraging to me when I was working on my Masters in Library Science. She worked hard volunteering at the Museum and History Center and will be missed by all who knew her.

Barbara was one of my guardian angels when I arrived at Fairfield University. A fellow bibliophile, we quickly bonded over our shared passions and under her tutelage, I gained an appreciation of the importance of archiving all that we did as a university. I was truly blessed to have had Barbara in my circle of friends.

All of us who do research will sorely miss Barbara's expert and generous help. We are privileged to have known her as friend and mentor in the many areas in which she served. Truly, she was a treasure of the town of Fairfield.

I will miss Barbara and her passion for libraries and history, as well as her sincere joy in helping people find the information they were looking for. She was a very kind friend to me and I will always cherish my memories of her and of her devotion to volunteering at the Fairfield Historical Society.

So sorry to hear about Barbara. I always enjoyed chatting with her about libraries, mysteries and Merwins Lane.
We have lost a cornerstone of library service in Fairfield. Condolences.
