Autuori, Dominic A. Autuori age 90 of Shelton the beloved husband of Rose Giaquinto Autuori passed away peacefully on October 18, 2013 in Lord Chamberlain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center with his loving family by his side. Dominic was born on April 19, 1923 in Bridgeport and was the son of the late Martin and Rose Ascolese Autuori. Dominic proudly served in the United States Army during World War II stationed in Hawaii. He graduated from Fairfield University with degrees in teaching and mathematics. He began his teaching career at Fairfield Prep and also taught in the Trumbull School District for 35 years until his retirement in 1985. He then became a certified locksmith and enjoyed volunteering his time repairing locks for various schools, businesses and friends. Dominic's greatest joy was spending time with his wife, siblings, children and grandchildren. He will deeply missed by all who knew him. In addition to his beloved wife Rose of 64 years, Dominic is also survived by his children Dominic A. (Skip) Autuori Jr. of Woodmont, Edmund Autuori and wife Susan of West Hartford, Terri Dudal and husband Steve of Trumbull and Paul Autuori of Middletown, his five loving grandchildren Jake Dudal, Kimberly, Pamela, Michelle and Jacqueline Autuori, one brother Martin Autuori Jr. of Bridgeport, one sister Carne Stasolla of Fairfield and a host of nieces and nephews. Dominic was also predeceased by one brother Vincent Autuori, two sisters-in-law Rose Autuori and Lillian Autuori and one brother-in-law Nicholas Stasolla. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the administration, employees and especially the entire fourth floor staff at Lord Chamberlain for the wonderful support and care given to Dominic in his time of need. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 22, 2013 at 10:00 AM DIRECTLY in St. Catherine of Siena Church 220 Shelton Road where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Msgr. Richard J. Shea. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery Trumbull with full military honors. Friends may call at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home 2220 Main Street Stratford on Monday from 4 - 7 PM. Terri, Steve and Jake, Your Dad was a wonderful sweet man and he will be missed. He was so blessed to have a daughter, grandson and son in law who did everything in their power for him and your Mom. I was a student of Mr. Autuori back in the 70's at Trumbull High School. I was failing algebra. He took the time to tutor me after school for many weeks. My final grade for that year was an A. I will always remember his patience and kindness. Heaven has welcomed a wonderful man...
