Martin, Daniel A.
Daniel A. Martin (Danny), beloved father, born February 4, 1925 in Lowell, Mass. entered into eternal life on October 9, 2013. One of sixteen children; he was predeceased by his wife Theresa and survived by his only daughter Anne Augustine, one sister Ellen Sherwood of Florida, two granddaughters; Barbara and Renee Augustine, and a son-in-law Ronald Augustine. Daniel will be missed by a multitude of cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Carrier Service, Sikorsky Aircraft, the Underwood, and various sales positions. He was a member of the Elks club, the American Veterans Association and became an avid skilled fisherman. He cannot be forgotten for his bold wit, unfailing sense of humor, devotion to his wife, family, and love for every new person he met. He is sadly and profoundly missed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 10:30 AM in St. Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church St., Newtown, CT. with interment and military honors to follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Newtown, CT.
