Crowley, Clifford V.
Clifford V. Crowley, age 85, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Carmella (Dolly) Pento Crowley, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Lord Chamberlain Health Care. Clifford was born and raised in the Stepney section of Monroe, son of the late John and Florence Slade Crowley. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Cliff was a member of the Teamsters Union, truck driver for D'Addario Industries and after retirement worked for Main Auto Supply. He was a former Trumbull Police patrolman for fourteen years, expert auto mechanic and past member of the East End Yacht Club. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Dale J. Crowley of Spokane, WA, two daughters, Dawn Kail of Trumbull and Cindy Crowley of Shelton, one sister, Sylvia Schwabacher of Wallingford, five grandchildren, Jason Crowley, Dale Chodorowski, Joshua Crowley, Kelli Krofssik and Jake Krofssik, three great grandchildren, Brandon Crowley, Ireland Chodorowski and Ronan Crowley, also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Elsie Buglione, Marjorie Minto and Katherine DeFelice. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:15a.m., from the Redgate - Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 11:00a.m., in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may call Friday, 4:00 - 8:00p.m., in the funeral home.
