Kelly, Colleen Ann. Colleen Ann Kelly January 24, 1964— May 23, 2016 Stratford, CT and Indian Island, ME 52, passed away unexpectedly May 23, 2016. She was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on January 24, 1964, the daughter of Frank and Priscilla Attean Kelly. Colleen was known as an avid reader who always had her nose in a book. She loved to go riding and enjoyed every opportunity to be outdoors. Colleen was also very proud of her Native American heritage as she was a member of the Penobscot Nation. Her family meant the world to her. She is survived by her three children, Katie Ann Savo and husband Joe of Bridgeport, Alrick H. Man, V and fiancée Brittany Howard of Monroe, and Shane M. B. Man of Fairfield; her beloved grandchildren Parker and Lily Savo; her brother Richard T. Kelly, III of Stratford and three sisters, Cheryl Kelly, Maureen Hammond and husband Richard both of Maine, Mary Attean of Florida as well as two nieces and five nephews. Colleen was predeceased by her parents, Frank Kelly and Priscilla Attean and the love of her life, Ken Westcott. She also leaves behind her dear friend Warren Laughner as well as many friends, uncles, aunts and cousins. Memorial Service will be private.

KEARSE, MONICA JOYCE Monica Joyce Kearse, beloved fiancée, mother, daughter, and sister, entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 20, 2016 surrounded by her loving family in Columbia, SC. Born in Bridgeport, CT on October 1, 1957, she was a daughter of the late Thounsa Kearse Sr. and Eliza C. Kendrick Kearse. Monica loved working and serving the military personnel at Fort Jackson Army Base in Columbia, SC. She was a selfless, compassionate, adventurous woman who loved to have fun, and travel. In addition to Monica's predeceased parents, brother Thounsa Jr., sister Reese, and son Zachariah, she leaves to cherish her memories a fiancée Manuel Shabazz of Columbia, SC, a son Lemar Kearse of Bridgeport, a daughter, Monica Bright, of Stratford, a daughter Joyce Shabazz of Columbia, SC., four sisters Thomsena (Leonard, Sr.) Cohen of Bridgeport, Irene (Henry, Sr.) Kelly of Stratford, Katrina Snowden of Bridgeport, Eliza (James, Jr.) Westberry of E. Hartford, and a sister-in-law Brenda Kearse, as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016, 11:00am at Refuge Temple Church of God, 3050 Main St., Bridgeport, CT. Komar, Robert - Bridgeport  
Komar, Robert Robert Komar, 64, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2016 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford surrounded by his loving family and friends. Bob was born in Bridgeport to the late John and Cecilia (Swatt) Komar. He lived in East Haven and worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Branford for over 30 years. Bob was also a veteran of the U.S. Army serving as an MP at West Point. He was a loyal fan of the Oakland Raiders. Bob was a one of the kind friend who touched the lives of so many people who knew him. He will be sadly missed by his loving brother, Johnny, his Uncle Joe and Aunt Gloria Swatt, his uncle George and Aunt Nola Komar, several cousins, dear friends Chet and Barbara Chechoski, Kathy and John Kessler and Dave and Margaret Keyes, along with many, many, loving friends. Bob will also be missed by his cats, Lola and Dakota. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10:00 at Our Lady of Pompeii Church in East Haven. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery in Monroe. Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 P.M. at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St. Branford. Konopka, Edward - Trumbull  
Konopka, Edward M. Edward M. Konopka age 68 of Trumbull, beloved husband of 44 years to Claudia Broccoli Konopka died peacefully on Saturday May 21, 2016 with his family by his side. Born in Wilkes Barre, PA. he was the son of Stella Szurnitski Konopka and the late Edward F. Konopka. A resident of Trumbull since 1977, Ed was a salesman for Bell Simons for several years, an avid sports enthusiast who enjoyed watching all sports and New York Teams and specially golf. His greatest love was his wife and family. He served in the Army and attained the rank of Sergeant. Survivors in addition to his wife Claudia, his son James Konopka and wife Stephenie of New Hampshire, Cheryl Gowlis and husband Jared of Seymour, four grandchildren; Sophia, Julia, Benjamin Konopka and Jack Gowlis, several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 10 am in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Shelton Road, Trumbull with Private burial at State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown, CT.
