Allen, Naomi Naomi Allen, age 88, a resident of Albuquerque, NM for the past nine years, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2015. She is survived by her son, Richard Allen and wife, Sally of Poughkeepsie, NY and daughter, Virginia Allen of Albuquerque, NM; three grandchildren, Karolyn Pereira of Albuquerque, Christopher Topham and wife, Lisa of Danbury, CT, and Joseph Allen of Boston, MA; great-grandson, Jacob Topham of Danbury, CT; sister-in-law, Shirley Martin of Rockwell, TX; and many nieces and nephews. Naomi was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Floyd Allen; parents, Paul and Ernestine Martin; and eight brothers and sisters. She was born in New York City in 1926 and lived in Fairfield, CT for 58 years where she was a long time member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and was employed by Howland's and Henry C. Reid Jewelers. Naomi was also a member of Rhea Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2015, 2:00 p.m., at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 431 Richmond Pl. NE in Albuquerque. A Memorial Service and interment at Lawncroft Cemetery in Fairfield, CT will be held in August, 2015. Anderson, John - Fairfield  
Anderson, John L. John L. (Jack) Anderson, age 83, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 15, 2015 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Mount Vernon, NY Jack was educated through the Mount Vernon public schools and received an electronic degree in Advanced Technology from the RCA Institute of Technology. He was employed by Bunker Ramo where he was in charge of product development, and served as Laboratory Supervisor. Jack, who enjoyed boating on Long Island Sound, was a kind and quiet man who was well liked by all who knew him, including his neighbors. There are no immediate survivors. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, Fairfield. Interment will follow in Long Ridge Union Cemetery, Stamford. Arsenault, Henry - Bridgeport  
Arsenault, Henry J. Henry J. Arsenault, age 83, husband of the late Anna (Kostka) Arsenault, passed away on Wednesday July 1, 2015 at Abbott Terrace Health Center. Born in Rumford, Maine, he was son of the late Aristole and Mina Arsenault. Henry lived most of his life in Bridgeport, and the past six years in Naugatuck. He retired from Exide Battery in Fairfield after many years of service. He is survived by his children, Darlene Rohlman and her husband Edward of Naugatuck, and Karen Cyr and her husband Joseph of Seymour; and five grandchildren, Dana, Nicole and Jenna Rohlman and Rebecca and Michael Cyr.All services will be private. Bardinelli, Larry - Bridgeport  
Bardinelli, Larry Larry Bardinelli, age 57, of Bridgeport, died on Monday, June 29, 2015 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. Larry was born in Bridgeport to Diane Stearns-Kuhl Bardinelli and the late Ronald Bardinelli. He was a graduate of Bullard-Havens High School. Larry was a self-employed contractor. He was a member of the Bridgeport Elks Club. Larry loved fishing and cooking. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed laughing and spending good times with his family and friends. Larry loved his children and grandchildren more than anything and he will be missed by them dearly. Survivors include three beloved children, Kate Bardinelli, Deana Bardinelli and Larry Bardinelli, Jr., all of Hamden; three cherished grandchildren, Aubrey, Joaquin and Jasen II; his mother, Diane Bardinelli of Trumbull; one sister, Laura Achilles and her husband, Bill, of Bridgeport; two brothers, Dean "Dino" Bardinelli of Stratford and Scott Bardinelli and his wife, Debi, of Trumbull; his partner, Barbara Perez of Bridgeport; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and many friends. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford. At the family's request, all other services will be private. Bargiuma, Christo - Bridgeport  
bargiuma, christo Christo Bargiuma of Bridgeport, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 in his home. Mr. Bargiuma was born in Kranea, Macedonia, Greece to the late Ioan and Ioana Mihadas Bargiuma. After finishing high school in Thessaloniki he went on to college in Spain on a scholarship, where he studied chemistry and graduated Cum Laude from world famous, Salamanca University. He was a soccer player for Megas Alexandros team in Thessaloniki and he was a volleyball player and coach for the famous Real Madrid club in Spain. He became very good friends with the famous soccer player Puskas who also played for the same club. In 1971 he followed his family to Bridgeport, CT where he worked for General Electric, Perkin Elmer and retired from Voltarc Co. Christo will always be remembered for his generosity helping people less fortunate. He was a member of St. Dimitrie Romanian Orthodox Church where he helped the Church Annual Festival for so many years preparing his famous marinated shish kebob. He is survived by his sister Eftimia Sideri and husband Ioan, brother Constantin, and sister Caterina Colimitra and her husband Andrei, all of Bridgeport, CT. Also nephew Christopher Ghitsa and his wife Claudia of Trumbull, CT and Sophia Belade and husband Mark, of Shelton, CT. He is also survived by great grand nieces Nicole (Nikki), Gianna and Mia. Christo was predeceased by his sisters Mariana (Marioara) Ghitsa, Stamatia (Stamulica) Hatzis, brothers in law George Ghitsa, Christos Hatzis and sister in law Justina Bargiuma. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 directly at St. Dimitrie Romanian Orthodox Church, 504 Sport Hill Rd., Easton, CT. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery. BENNETT, GLADYS E. Gladys E. Bennett, age 95 of Fairfield formerly of Bridgeport entered into eternal rest Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Carolton Chronic Convalescent Home in Fairfield. Born in Roanoke, VA to the late Walter and Lillie Wright, Gladys had been a resident of Fairfield for the past three years. Prior to her residence in Fairfield, Gladys was a resident of Bridgeport for more than fifty years. She was a retired assembler from General Electric. In addition to her parents, her husband Harold Bennett and a son Gary Bennett predeceased her. She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Joan Gomes of Bridgeport; two granddaughters, Andrea Gomez and Kimshon Bennett; two great-grandchildren, Shyeeka and Harvey Kendall, and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2015, 11:00 AM at Messiah Baptist Church, 210 Congress St., Bridgeport with Pastor James B. Logan, officiating. Bevacqua Sr., John W. - Stratford  
Bevacqua, Sr, John W. John W. Bevacqua, Sr., age 90, of Stratford, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 4, 2015 at Bishop Wicke Health Care Center to join his loving wife Mary Ruotolo Bevacqua, who went to heaven in 2010. Born in Bridgeport on November 17, 1924, he was a son of the late Vincent and Theresa Paola Bevacqua. He attended St. Mary's School and Harding High School before graduating in 1942. In May of 1943 he entered the U.S. Army, proudly serving in the medical corps under the command of General Patton. He was involved in four major campaigns, including the Battle of the Bulge and the Liberation of the Dachau Concentration Camp, for which he received the Meritorius Service Award. He was discharged as a First Sergeant on December 24, 1945. He was very active at St. Mark Church as a trustee, head usher and volunteer maintenance worker. He received the St. Augustine Medal from Bishop Lori for his dedication and work at St. Mark Church. He loved to sing and took part in many of the shows put on by Msgr. McMahon and the St. Mark Players. He was the featured vocalist with the Frankie Bay Orchestra. John founded Imperial Metal Finishing Inc. of Stratford in 1969 and was proud to have worked alongside his family for many years. The company is still run by the Bevacqua Family today. In addition to his parents and loving wife of 62 years, he was predeceased by three brothers, Anthony and Joseph Bevacqua and Nicholas Bevans and a sister, Rosa Bevacqua. Survivors include his three loving sons, Vincent Bevacqua and his wife Kathleen, John Bevacqua, Jr. and his wife Nancy, Frank Bevacqua and his wife Cheryl, all of Stratford, a brother William Bevacqua of Trumbull, seven grandchildren, Mary Thomas and her husband Roger, Dr. Frank, Matthew, Daniel, Elizabeth, Meghan and Tyler, two great grandchildren, Roger and Alyssa as well as several brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday July 7, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mark Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment with military honors will follow in St. Michael Garden Mausoleum, Stratford. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark building fund, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford 06614.
