Warrick, Virginia - Stratford  
Warrick, Virginia (Ginny). Virginia M. (Ginny) Warrick, age 41 of Stratford passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at her home from complications from diabetes. She was born in Bridgeport on June 7, 1974 a daughter of William John Warrick of PA and Maria L. Martins-Dias Warrick of Stratford. Ginny had worked as a CNA and was a devoted and loving mother. She was a religious person with a great heart, she would give her shirt off her back and smile at the same time and was extremely generous to all. She will be deeply missed and loved by her sons; Adriano (Dino) Bursey and Christian (Chris) Betts both of Stratford. Her fiancé, Darrin Root of Stratford and sisters; Cristina (Mark) Stephens of Naugatuck, Ana Warrick and her husband Robert Stockel of Fairfield and Margaret Garcia and her husband Manuel Diaz Jr. of Stratford. She is also survived by her step father Luis Quinteros, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Ginny has a special love in her heart for Angelica Jarrin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church, Stratford. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery Stratford. Friends may greet the family on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 from 4 to 8 pm at the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford. Washenko, Sophie - Shelton  
Washenko, Sophie Sophie Washenko, age 92 of Shelton, beloved wife of the late Nicholas Washenko, died May 23, 2016, at the Hewitt Health and Rehab Center, Shelton. Born in Edwardsville, PA on November 27, 1923, she was the daughter of the late John and Pauline Sabovich Kohanowski. Mrs. Washenko was a longtime resident of Shelton and member of Three Saints Orthodox Church. She was an employee of the former Waterman Pen Company and worked as a receptionist for the former Mecca's Beauty Salon, both of Seymour. She is survived by sons, Nicholas (Eva) Washenko of Shelton, Paul (Ann) Washenko of Orange and Peter (Sue) Washenko of Shelton; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Washenko; sisters, Anne Matejek, Mecca and Esther Kohanowski and brother, Charles Kohanowski. At the family's request, all funeral services are private. Memorial contributions may be made to Three Saints Orthodox Church, 26 Howard Avenue, Ansonia. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Hewitt Health and Masonicare Hospice for their compassionate care extended to Sophie in her time of need. Wiggins, Larry Daniel - Bridgeport  
WIGGINS, LARRY DANIEL Larry Daniel Wiggins, 60 of Bridgeport entered into eternal rest Monday, May 23, 2016 at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. Born in Williamston, NC to the late James Stevenson and Alice Wiggins, Larry has been a resident of Bridgeport for the past twenty-five years. He was last employed as a tire technician with Town Fair Tire in Norwalk. His spiritual needs were met as a disciple of the House of Prophecy and Prayer. In addition to his parents, a daughter and a sister predeceased him. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife ; two sons, a daughter; 1 brother, four sisters, four grandchildren, several nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 26, 2016 at the House of Prophecy and Prayer, 2 Berkeley St. (Prophet Sadie Miles Way), Norwalk, CT with Prophet Sadie Miles, officiating. Wlcek, Brad D. Brad D. Wlcek, 27, a recent resident of Lafayette, California, died Wednesday, May 18, 2016. Brad was born on February 7, 1989 in Derry New Hampshire. The family moved to Ridgefield, Connecticut where Brad attended his primary school years. In 2000 the family relocated to Danville, California where Brad completed his education graduating from San Ramon Valley High School class of 2007. Following graduation he attended the California State University, San Francisco. Brad is survived by his parents, Eunice Balthaser Wlcek of Lafayette, California, John Wlcek of South Lake Tahoe, California and an elder brother, Brian T. Wlcek of South Lake Tahoe, California. Other survivors include, from California: his grandparents, Eiko and Charles (Ken) Balthaser of Placerville, Uncles Kenneth Balthaser of Sacramento, Neil Balthaser and Marcus Davis of Montreal, Canada, Aunt April Balthaser of Danville, cousins Brittany Balthaser of Sacramento, Brooke and Brandon Balthaser of Danville and Hana Balthaser-Davis from Montreal, Canada. From Connecticut: Aunt Barbara (Wlcek) Cowperthwaite and Uncle Jay Cowperthwaite of Milford, Aunt Nancy Wlcek of Stratford, cousins Beth (Cowperthwaite) Brown of Stratford, Amy (Cowperthwaite) Tweedie of Stratford, Matthew Chirico, Christopher Carey and Zane Carey of Stratford. Brad will be fondly remembered as a kind and gentle man and a loyal friend to all who knew him. He will be dearly missed by his family and his many, many friends.
