Washicosky, Christine C. Christine Catherine (Monko) Washicosky, age 97, died January 27, 2015, devoted wife of the late Stanley J. Washicosky, who passed away in 1976. At the time of her death, she resided at Hewitt Health & Rehab, Shelton. Christine was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, July 16, 1917, daughter of the late Jan Andrew Monko and Marie Rose Repiscak. She is survived by her two sons, Michael Washicosky and his wife Barbara of Oxford, and Francis Washicosky and his wife Lynn of Clayville, NY; her two daughters, Ann Marie Gimenez and her husband Peter of Lady Lake, FL, and Jane Hyman and her husband John of Milton, FL; her seven grandchildren, David Washicosky, Jessalyn Nolan, Andrew Iannone, Christopher Hyman, Robert Hyman, Lindsey Hyman, and Kristen Washicosky; her four great grandchildren, Autumn Hyman, Taylor Hyman, Benjamin Washicosky, and Kaylee Hyman; and by many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Marie, Anna, and Mary; her brothers, Paul, John, Andrew, Joseph, Francis, Jacob, Albert, Stanley, and Walter. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 30th at 1:30 PM in Mt. St. Peter's Cemetery Chapel, Derby followed by burial. The James T. Williams, Donald - Bridgeport  
Williams, Donald Donald Williams, age 59, entered into eternal rest on Thursday January 15, 2015. He was a life long resident of Bridgeport. He was the son of the late Johnnie E. and Annie (Hester)Williams. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Shonda Barr, brothers and sisters and a host of relatives and friends. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday at 12pm at the Lester Gee Funeral Home, 1390 Fairfield Ave, Bridgeport. Relatives and friends may call at 10am until time of service.

Clark, Jeanette M. - Shelton  
Clark, Jeanette M. Jeanette (Rega) Clark, age 79, of Huntington, CT, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday January 23, 2015. Born in Bridgeport, CT on May 24, 1935, Jeanette was the daughter of the late Frank and Jennie Esposito Rega. Jan is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Bernard Clark of Huntington, CT and formerly of Bridgeport, CT. She is also survived by her loving children, son, Michael B. Clark of Huntington, daughter, Phyllis Pinto and husband Robert of Beacon Falls, and daughter, Eileen Nelson and husband Eric of Seymour. In addition, she leaves behind her grandchildren, Melissa Randi and husband Craig of Stratford, Lauren Veronneau and husband Patrick of Wallingford, Robert Pinto of Beacon Falls, and Taylor Nelson of Seymour. Jan was predeceased by her brothers, Paul and Frank Rega. Jeanette attended Sacred Heart University, in addition to graduating from Central High School in Bridgeport. She was employed for many years by The Bridgeport Brass Company and was later employed by Pullman and Comley for 25 years before retiring. Jan was an avid card player, a championship bowler and most importantly, a professional shopper. She was a kind hearted, generous woman who was, and will continue to be loved by many. She lived a wonderful life surrounded by family, love and laughter. The family would like to express their deepest appreciation and gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Gaylord Hospital Pulmonary unit in addition to Bridgeport Hospital's 9th floor and ICA unit. We would also like to thank Dr. Mridu Gulati for all of her love and compassion. Funeral services will take place on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Shelton, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Czeszel, Johanna - Plain City, Ut  
Czeszel, Johanna Johanna Czeszel, age 87, of Plain City Utah, and formerly of Shelton, CT entered into rest on Tuesday January 20, 2015 in the home of her son. She was the devoted wife of the late John R. Czeszel to whom she was married for 62 years. Johanna was born in Bridgeport, on October 8, 1927, daughter of the late George and Bertha (Kandrak) Buda, and was a long time Shelton resident. She was employed at the former Read's Department Store, and retired from Macy's. She was an active member of St. Margaret Mary Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild, serving as treasurer for many years, teaching catechism, and volunteered for BINGO, the Church Carnival, Food Fests, and Christmas Fairs. She was also an active member of the Shelton Sr. Citizen Center, where she also served as treasurer for many years. She was an avid reader, enjoyed doing word puzzles, crafts, and visiting her family and friends. Johanna is the beloved mother of Deborah K. Brown,and her husband Paul, of Swanton, MD John R. Czeszel, Jr. , and his wife Dee, of Plain CIty, UT, Michael J.Czeszel, and his wife Melissa, of Prosper, TX , and the late Barbara Ann Carlson. She is the mother-in-law of Barbara's husband Kevin Carlson, of Fremont, CA and sister of Irene Sibiski, of Stratford, CT. She will be sadly missed by her six grandchildren, Brian and Garrett Tall, Erik and Caitlyn Brown, Jason & Michelle Czeszel, and her two great granddaughters, Brianne and Andrea Tall. Friends may greet her family on Thursday from 4 pm to 7 PM in the Riverview Funeral Home 390 River Road Shelton. On Friday her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:15 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Margaret Mary Church Shelton. Faustini, Angela - Milford  
Faustini, Angela M. Angela Maria D'arduini Faustini, but everyone knew her as "Nina", age 96, of Milford, CT, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 24, 2015. Nina was born in Ripi, Italy, province of Frosinone on October 21, 1918. Nina was the fourth child out of six and daughter of the late Francesco D'arduini and Angela Fratarcangeli D'arduini of Ripi, Italy. Along with her late husband Sante and family, Nina owned Sante's Restaurant in Milford, Connecticut. Nina also enjoyed working at Schick for a short time. In her later years she took great pride in working with her daughter, Cristina and her family at Sante's Manor. Nina enjoyed traveling to Italy, spending time with her family and friends, cooking, gardening, going for long walks and especially spending time with her daughter and helping out at Sante's Manor as much as she could. Nina was a kind, hard working devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be forever in our hearts and truly missed. Nina is survived by her daughter Angela Cristina Trovini, her granddaughter Maria-Teresa Trovini Gagliardi and her husband James of Woodbridge, grandson Elvio Trovini and his wife Romina of Stamford, three great grandchildren Jaime, Lorraine and Andrew Gagliardi, daughter-in-law Margaret Faustini, and she is also survived by Robert Faustini, Domenic Faustini, Adelina Allen, Sante Faustini, Memi Csontos, Diana Ukehaxhaj who she considered her grandchildren and several more great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, Sante Faustini, five siblings; Michelina, Gustina, Sandina, Querino and Marietta, Dario Faustini and his son Raymond and Albert Faustini, two sons she raised as her own, son- in- law Rolando Trovini and daughter-in-law Fernanda Salati Faustini. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 29th at 10:30 am at St. Mary Church, 70 Gulf St., Milford, CT 06460. Entombment to follow at St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Fontneau, Frederick - Stamford  
Fontneau, Frederick W. Frederick W. Fontneau of Stamford, Connecticut, formally of West Haven Connecticut, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2015 at the age of 88. Fred was the son of Margaret Donovan and Pierre Fontneau, and loving husband of Joan Convery Fontneau. Fred proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Maritime as a radio operator and later in the United States Marine Corps. He was a graduate of New Haven State Teachers College where he met the love of his life, Joan. He received his master's degree and sixth year in administration from Fairfield University. Fred enjoyed a rewarding career as a teacher and principal in the Stamford Public School system for more than 30 years. Fred is survived by his loving family of four children and fourteen grandchildren. Lisa Whelan and her husband Bill of Daytona Beach, Florida, and their children Amy, Bill, Emily and Timmy, Abigail and Noah. Jon Fontneau and his wife Heidi of Monroe and their children Michael Fontneau and Kelly Flynn. Cary Roth and her husband Rich of Rogers, Arkansas and their children Forrest and Bryce. Brian Fontneau and his wife Karen of Monroe and their children Kelsey, Kyle and Lindsey. He is also survived by a brother, Paul Fontneau of Hamden, sisters in law Betty Farenga of Fairfield, and Mary Convery of Milford as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Joan Convery Fontneau and by his granddaughter, Katie Fontneau of Monroe, and brothers Peter and David Fontneau. Fred was an early riser, who could often be found at Cove Island Park and the Darien YMCA. He was an avid high school sports enthusiast, and loved the New York Giants and the UCONN Huskies. His warm outgoing personality, and positive outlook toward life, will be missed by all that knew him. Fred will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to many. A Mass will be celebrated on Saturday January 31st at 11:00am, at Saint Jude Roman Catholic Church 707 Monroe Turnpike Monroe CT. No calling hours will be held. Fudge, Diane M. Diane M. Fudge, age 68, of Stratford, beloved wife of Pastor Roger Fudge, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Astoria, Queens, New York, on May 14, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Donato and Josephine Montalbano Cialone. For over 30 years, she was proud to be the First Lady, Pastor's wife. Diane was active in ministry at the Christian Assembly Church of Stratford for many years. In addition to her husband of 47 years, Pastor Roger Fudge, survivors include her four children, Dr. Daniel Fudge of Stratford, Roger Fudge Jr. and his wife Jane of West Babylon, NY, Kimberly Adams and her husband Thomas of Coatsville, PA and Mark Fudge and his wife Cheryl of Patchogue, NY, a sister, Marie Volaric and her husband Edo of Mahwah, NJ, a brother, Joseph Cialone and his wife Carmen of Great Neck, NY, four grandchildren, Thomas, Alexandra and Samuel Adams, and Adrianna Fudge as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. directly in the Christian Assembly Church, 1326 Nichols Ave., Stratford. Manning, George R. - Cos Cob  
Manning, George R. George R. Manning, 96, husband of the late Margaret Norinne ("Nicki") Miller, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2015 at The Guilford House Nursing Center in Guilford, CT. Born on July 17, 1918, in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Donald and Helen Simpson Manning. George was raised on a family farm in Ransomville, NY, graduated from Wilson High School in 1937 and Cornell University in 1942, with a B. S., Agricultural Economics. He married Nicki, a Cornell classmate in 1942, after which George spent the war years as a government foods inspector for the military. The Mannings lived in Minneapolis, MN; Brownsville, TX; Easton, MD; Lancaster, PA; and Elmer, NJ before moving to Cos Cob, CT in 1966. He worked for Consumer Packing Company, Seabrook Farms, and retired from Standard Brands/Nabisco as a purchasing agent in 1985. George was instrumental in many church functions wherever he lived. He was a co- founder of the Highland Presbyterian Church in Lancaster, PA, and was active with the First Congregational Church of Old Greenwich, CT. He was past President of the Greenwich Retired Men's Association, and participated in volunteer work for a number of Greenwich area charities. George was an avid sailor and boating enthusiast and spent many happy afternoons on the waters of Long Island Sound. He and Nicki enjoyed extensive travel in Europe, as well trips to Russia, China, the Middle East and throughout North America. George is survived by daughter Norinne M. (Denis) Constantine of Guilford, CT, and sons George R. Manning, Jr. of Loysville, PA, Stephen T. (Karen) Manning of New Milford, CT, John S. (Celeste) Manning of Huntington, CT, and James D. (Karen) Manning of Shelton, CT. He is also survived by six grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by two brothers, Donald S. Manning of Ohio and Robert V. Manning of New York. The family wishes to thank and express sincere gratitude to the nursing staff and aides at The Guilford House for their exceptional care and attention to George during his extended stay there. A memorial service and interment will be held on Saturday, March 21 at 11:00 am at the First Congregational Church, 108 Sound Beach Avenue, Old Greenwich, CT. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to a charity of one's choice. Metcho, Olga Huniyack. Olga Huniyack Metcho, age 92 of Stratford, beloved wife of the late John Metcho, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2015 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. Mrs. Metcho, a retired crossing guard for the City of Bridgeport Board of Education, was born in Olyphant, PA to the late William and Pearl Huniyack and has been a long time area resident. She was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed spending time at Lucas Gardens, the Baldwin Center and the Milford Senior Center. Survivors include her beloved daughters, Deborah Kichinko of Stratford and Kathleen A. Tavella and her husband Richard of Norwalk 4 cherished granddaughters, Salina Tavella, Melissa Verbanic and her husband Richard, Jennifer Kichinko and Erika Bruno and her husband James, and a nephew Sonny Sevc. In addition to her husband and parents she was pre-deceased by her brothers Walter and John Huniyack, and sisters, Mary Kroll, Jenny Korakowski and Tilly Killian. Funeral services will take place on Friday, January 30th at 10:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford with Rev. Steven Belonick officiating.
