Hunihan, Lillian - Shelton  
Hunihan, Lillian Lillian Hunihan, 81, of Shelton, entered into rest on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at Milford Hospital. She was the devoted wife of the late John Hunihan. Lillian was born in Bridgeport on June 24, 1933, daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Pirint) Spader, and lived most of her life in Ansonia before moving to Shelton eighteen years ago. She was a bookkeeper for the former Einbinder & Young, P.C. for over thirty years before her retirement. She is the beloved mother of Sue Petrizzo and her husband John and cherished grandmother of John Jr., Mark, and Jessica. Lillian also leaves two brothers, Robert and Richard Spader, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, George Spader. Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM. On Wednesday her procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Catherine's Church in Trumbull. Burial will follow at Mt. Ironside, Martha - Bridgeport  
Ironside, Martha Martha Ironside, age 93, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Kenneth Ironside, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 11, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Bridgeport on March 13, 1922, the daughter of the late William and Minnie Brown she was a 1938 graduate of Harding High School. Mrs. Ironside was a longtime member of Black Rock Congregational Church, then a member of the Westminster Orthodox Presbyterian Church for the past 37 years. Survivors include her children, Judith Mark and her husband Russell of Stratford, Kenneth Ironside and his wife Valerie of Baltimore, MD, Susan Maxwell and her husband Kevin of Fairfield and Laurel Varker and her husband David of Bridgeport, a brother Richard Brown and his wife Margaret of Hanover, PA, 10 Grandchildren, 10 Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Westminster Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 565 Shepherd Ave., Hamden, CT 06514. Kaeser, Robert - Weston  
Kaeser, Robert C, Jr. Robert (Bob) Charles Kaeser Jr., age 61, died suddenly at his home in Weston Connecticut on Thursday, April 23, 2015. Beloved father, husband, son, brother, uncle and friend, Bob was born on January 17, 1954 in Bridgeport Connecticut to Eileen Spillane Kaeser and Robert Charles Kaeser Sr. Bob started his career as a builder. He later worked as a commodities trader for many years and returned to his first passion custom home building in 2008 through his own residential development firm, RC Kaeser & Company. Bob served as trustee to his church, Norfield Congregational Church in Weston. A kind and generous family man who deeply loved his children and was dedicated to his church, Bob was an avid golfer, and also enjoyed gardening, sailing and skiing. He graduated St. Joseph High School in Trumbull Connecticut in 1972 and Niagara University in New York in 1976. He is survived by his wife, architect Nancy Gorlow Thiel; his three children Gwen of San Diego, CA, Nicole of Charleston, SC and Gregory, a student at WSU; father Robert Charles Kaeser Sr.; sisters Patricia Vogel and husband Eric; Lorrie Craw and husband Jeffrey; brother John Kaeser and wife Margaret; brother-in-law John Gorlow and wife Elisabetta; sister-in-law Sue Challinor and husband Matt; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at Norfield Congregational Church, on Sunday, April 26th at 12:00 pm, at 64 Norfield Road, Weston Connecticut 06883.In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial contributions to Norfield Congregational Church or the American Heart Association. Kashuba, Helen - Seymour/derby  
Kashuba, Helen Helen Kashuba, 93, went to be with the Lord on April 25, 2015 at Shady Knoll Health Care Center in Seymour, CT. A life long valley resident, Helen was born on February 16, 1922 in Derby to the late Frank and Julia Mielecka Garbien. She is survived by daughter Patricia O'Reilly (Robert), New Canaan, CT, and their children Colleen Hann (Christopher), New Canaan, CT, Robert Jr. (Alyssa), Raleigh, NC, and Brian (Kiana), Larchmont, NY, and daughter Helen Madura (Benjamin), Sunset Beach, NC, and their children Melissa Massicotte (Stephen), Naugatuck, CT, Patricia Madura Virzi, Ansonia, CT, Kristy Linder, Guilford, CT, Chelle Ratineri (Christopher), Old Saybrook, CT, and Jessica Madura, Norwalk, CT. She is also survived by thirteen wonderful great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband Edward and her two brothers Frank Garbien and Thaddeus Garbien. Helen was very proud of her Polish Catholic heritage and was a daily communicant of St. Michael's Church in Derby. She was an active member of The CWV Ladies Auxiliary Post 1562, the Third Order of St. Francis, the Ladies Guild, St. Vincent de Paul Society and Rosary Society. In addition, Helen taught CCD for 13 years at St. Michael's School. In her younger years Helen traveled to many landmarks in the United States and Canada. She visited family in Poland and made pilgrimages to the Marian Shrines in Czestochowa (Poland), Our Lady of Fatima (Portugal), and Lourdes (France). Helen was always most happy when she was surrounded by her family. she also enjoyed arts and crafts including crocheting, crossword puzzles, and dry flower arrangements. Also an avid sports fan, she cheered on the New York Giants and UConn basketball. Helen would most want to be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, friend, and neighbor. She will be missed for her sincere, caring, and loving ways. Helen's family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff of Shady Knoll for their kind and compassionate care and love. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday April 29, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Michael's Church, 75 Derby Avenue, Derby, CT. Interment will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral home, 253 Elizabeth Street, Derby, CT. Keating, Arthur - Fairfield  
keating, arthur m. Arthur M. Keating, age 75, of Fairfield, loving companion of Eileen Thomas, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Born and raised in Chelsea, MA., Arthur was a Bridgeport and Fairfield Town resident for most of his life. He had served in the United States Marine Corps and later worked for the Aquarion Water Co for over 35 years until his retirement. He was a member of the Marine Corps League, Port V National Association of Naval Veterans, the American Legion Post 74 of Fairfield, the B.P.O.E Lodge 36 of Bridgeport and the Gaelic American Club. Art was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. A generous and outgoing person, Art was well liked by others and will be greatly missed. In addition to Eileen, survivors include a brother, Frank Henry and his wife Christine of Bridgeport, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother William Keating and sister Helen Henry. As were his wishes, there will be no services. Eileen would like to thank the staffs of Bridgeport Hospital, Carolton Health and Rehabilitation and DaVita Dialysis for the compasionate care that Art was given during his illness. Kemeny, Margaret - Norwalk  
Kemeny, Margaret A. Margaret Agnes Toth Kemény, 94, wife of Alexander J Kemeny of Boynton Beach, FL and Norwalk, CT entered the next world Saturday morning, April 25, 2015 at her daughter's home in Norwalk. Born on December 18, 1920 in Pölöske, Zallamegye, Hungary to her loving parents, Elizabeth Bakos Toth and Theodore Toth, she immigrated to Saskatchewan, Canada at age 7. She also lived in Branford and Toronto, Ontario where she completed high school and secretarial training. She met her musician husband Alex on a trip to the US and was happily married for more than 67 years. Margaret was an avid bridge player, gardener, baker and reader as well as an active member of the Women's Guild of the Hungarian Reformed Church in So. Norwalk before moving to Florida. She created many a beautiful afghan which she donated to Crystal Theatre for their fundraiser raffles. She loved to travel the world with her husband Alex—especially when it involved seeing her 2 daughters Cheryl and Alexandrea Kemeny of Norwalk performing as the "Kemeny Sisters". She is survived by her husband, 2 daughters, grand-daughter Hannah Daley, son-in-law Mariner Pezza of Norwalk, her "sister"-cousin Mary Kelly of Toronto and many dear relatives in Canada as well as Hungary. Before retiring, she worked for years as a secretary and bookkeeper for area businesses including Norwalk Tire, Katz Real Estate, Persons' Reading School, Cherry Lawn School and Custom Swab, where she met her best friend of many years, Pearl Owades. Friends may call, Wednesday, from 6:30-8:30 PM at the Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk where a memorial service will be held at 8 PM. A private burial will take place Thursday at 11 AM at Riverside Cemetery in Norwalk. Klansky, Diane E. (Honafius). Klansky - Diane E. (Honafius) Klansky, age 63, of Stratford beloved wife of David T. Klansky, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 23, 2015, in her home surrounded by her loving family. Known to her friends and family as "Mazzy," she was born June 29, 1951 in Pottstown, PA, daughter of the late Charles and Pauline (Zimmerman) Honafius and had been a life time area resident. Diane was a retired Payroll Clerk for Golden Hill Health Care Facility, Milford and a Stratford High School graduate, class of 1969. She loved Christmas, snowy winters and summer flowers, but mostly she loved her family. Survivors, in addition to her beloved husband, include her daughter Christina Zuccalmaglio and her husband Robert of Stratford; three grandchildren Robert, David and Julie Zuccalmaglio; three brothers Donald Honafius and his wife Shirley of Ansonia, Paul Honafius and his wife Margie of Stratford and Robert Honafius of Meriden; two sisters Jean Sibick of Bridgeport and Carol Borowski of Stratford and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Charles Honafius. She will be missed by all especially, her beloved pup, Violet. Kostenko, Helen - Shelton  
Kostenko, Helen Helen Kostenko, age 89, of Shelton united with her Higher Self on Tuesday April 21, 2015 in the Hewitt Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Alex Kostenko. Mrs. Kostenko was born in Shelton on January 30, 1926 daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine (Gasior) Hanko, and was a resident of Bridgeport and Seymour for most of her life. She enjoyed going to Polka Dances at Warsaw Park, doing shots, singing, laughing and having a good time. She also loved her birds very much.. She is survived by her sister Syliva Wall, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her children Alan Kostenko, of Springfield, MA and Nadine Kostenko,of Hamden, CT and her brother Edward Hanko. Friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Sunday at 1PM in the Riverview Funeral Home 390 River Road Shelton with the Rev. Patrick Burns of the Three Saints Orthodox Church presiding.
