Nimeth, Sophie - Stratford  
Nimeth, Sophie D. Sophie D. Nimeth, 89, of Stratford, wife of the late Bernard Nimeth, died on May 25, 2015 in Birmingham Health Care Center, Derby. Born in Poland to the late Joseph and Mary Zimba Dulski, Sophie emigrated to the US in 1929. She was a phenomenal gourmet cook and a talented and creative seamstress. Mrs. Nimeth is survived by her four children, Linda St. Onge and her husband Peter, Bernard Nimeth and his wife Diane, Mary Jane Sjursen and her husband Steve and Sophie Nimeth; her sister Jane Godzik- Sharpe; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved grandchildren Michael and Katie Paige. Friends may call on Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 9:45 am in the funeral home and at 10:30 am at St. James Church with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery. Ocasio, Pedro - Waterbury  
Pedro, Ocasio Pedro Ocasio, age 61, of Bridgeport passed away into the Presence of the Lord on Thursday, May 21, 2015 in Waterbury Hospital, Waterbury, CT surrounded by his loving family. Pedro was born in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico son of the late Aguedo Ocasio and Juana Flores before relocating to the Bridgeport area many years ago. He is the beloved husband of Silvia Ocasio. In addition to his wife he is also survived by his sons Pedro Luis Ocasio, Jose A. Ocasio, Danny Ocasio, Xavier Ocasio, Pedro A. Ocasio, and George Ocasio; his brothers Ismael Ocasio, Hector Ocasio, and Jesus Ocasio; his sisters Julita Flores, Margarita Ocasio, Lydia Ocasio, Ester Ocasio, Maria Ocasio, and Carmen Ocasio; his nine grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and other relatives and friends who will dearly miss him. He is predeceased by his brother Jose A. Ocasio. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 7-9 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Orazietti, Dalmo - Shelton  
Orazietti, Dalmo J. Dalmo J. Orazietti, age 88, of Shelton, entered into rest on Thursday May 21, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Dalmo was born in Shelton on March 23, 1927, son of the late Generoso, and Beatrice (Fracassini) Orazietti, and was life long Shelton resident. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War. He was employed by the B. F. Goodrich for over 30 years and Shelton High School maintenance department for 17 years before his retirement. Dalmo enjoyed attending all the sports events at Shelton High School, and was an avid NY Yankee fan. He was a 60 year member of the Sutter Terlizzi American Legion Post # 16 in Shelton, was a lifelong communicant of St. Joseph Church, and a member of the Shelton Senior Citizen Center. He was the beloved brother of Jeanette Burns and Oliva Orazietti, devoted uncle of Marian and Brad Philips, James and Sharon, Danny and Linda, Kevin and David Orazietti, Lauren and Mauro Rugerio, Anita and Steve Geraci, and Linda and Bob Watt, and brother-in-law of Mary Orazietti. He was predeceased his siblings, Enio (Jake) Orazietti, Valia Hefferon and Louise Bajor and a niece, Diane Wilson. Friends may greet his family on Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home 390 River Road Shelton. On Wednesday his funeral will leave the funeral home at 9:45 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph Church Shelton. Burial with full military honors will follow in Mt. Otzel, Laura - Bridgeport  
Otzel, Laura Laura Dzialo Otzel, age 60 of Bridgeport, beloved wife of Michael Otzel, died Sunday May 24, 2015 at St. Vincent's Medical Center Bridgeport after a long illness. Laura was born in Bridgeport. She was a teacher at both St. Mark Elementary School and St. Augustine's. She was a former member of St. Patrick's Ladies Guild and a former CCD teacher. In addition to her husband she is survived by her three loving children; Michael, Elizabeth and Andrew Otzel all of Bridgeport. Her mother Cecilia Dzialo, of Stratford; one brother Steve Dzialo and his wife Linda, of Stratford, two sisters Janet Baranyai, and her companion Jim, of Meriden, and Karen Stemple and her husband Artie, of West Haven and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Walter Dzialo. Friends may call on Friday at the Larson Funeral Home, 2496 North Ave, Bridgeport from 4 to 8 pm. Burial will be private. A Memorial Mass will take place at a later date. The family wishes to Thank the Nurses and staff of the 7th floor of St. Vincent's for all of the wonderful care and compassion shown to Laura and her family during her long illness.

Palumbo, Secondino - Milford  
Palumbo, Secondino Secondino Palumbo (Dino), age 79 of Milford, formerly of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Assunta Gallucci Palumbo, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 17, 2015. Born on June 30, 1935 in Troia, Italy, he was the son of the late Alfonso and Filomena Cibelli Palumbo. Dino studied at Torino Universita in Italy and Norwalk Tech in Norwalk. He immigrated to America in 1960 and was employed for 25 years at American Chain & Cable in Bridgeport. He was a self taught artist and shared his passion for all things art with everyone he met. He was a member of the Fine Arts of Fairfield County and participated in several juried art shows. Not only was he a passionate artist, he was a deep thinker, an avid debater, a devoted husband, father, brother and grandfather, and a wonderful man of God. He will be greatly missed. In addition to Assunta, Dino will be lovingly remembered by his children, Lana Pirulli and her husband Mario of Monroe; Paolo Palumbo and his wife Susann of Monroe; Marco Palumbo and his wife Lauren of Milford; and Donna Hall and her husband Johnel of Bridgeport; his cherished grandchildren Bronte, Maya and Lily Pirulli, Frankie and Gracie Palumbo; his sister Christina Sementilli and husband Mario of Bridgeport; brother Armando Palumbo and wife Rose of Shelton; and brother Fred Palumbo of Stratford and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and twin brother Vincent Palumbo. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 9:00 am at Holy Name Catholic Church, Stratford. Pileski, Elizabeth - Milford  
Pileski, Elizabeth Elizabeth Claire Pileski, a lifelong resident of Milford, CT, and the devoted wife to the late Stanley Edmond Pileski, passed away at the age of 84 on Monday, May 18, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Milford, CT she was the daughter of the late Stephen John and Elizabeth Tracy Boni. She was a "beach kid" who graduated from Walnut Beach Grammar School and Milford High School. Claire was a 25 year employee of SNET where she was a telephone operator and served as a president of the Operator Services Local for two terms. She has maintained contact with many friends she worked with there. She was a long time caregiver for her disabled husband until his death. She was a long time parishioner of St. Gabriel's Parish for many years. She served on The Social Ministry Committee and also parish council. She was an avid gardener and devoted fan of the UConn women's basketball team. Claire is survived by her children Stephen (Ellen) Pileski, daughter Diane (Fran) Ganch Bonomo; four grandchildren, Nicholas and Andrew Bonomo. and Michael and Kelly Pileski.; great grandchildren, Elizabeth and William Pileski. and Stephen and Michael Fulcher; her sister Helen Boni Fisher; several nieces and nephews and her dear friend Renee Livers. She was encouraged to become a birdwatcher when her grandson, Nick, took up the hobby and enjoyed it for many years. She also learned about computers from her grandson, Andrew. She maintained contact with her grandchildren Kelly and Michael of Maine. She was predeceased by her husband of over 25 years and her brother John Stephen Boni. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. Gabriel's Church, 26 Broadway, Milford, CT 06460. Polena, Eleanore F. Eleanore F. Polena age 88 of Fairfield, beloved wife of 57 years to the late George T. Polena passed peacefully on May 22, 2015 with her devoted family by her side. Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Kiraly Galaty. A resident of Bridgeport for over 35 years, she was a dedicated parishioner of St. George Albanian Orthodox Church and the Teuta Society. Eleanore's life centered around her family and church, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her three daughters, Debbie Broadus of Fairfield, Kim and the late John Battocchio of Bethel, Lynne Graceski and husband Joseph of Fairfield, her adoring grandchildren; Amanda Medero and husband Eddie, Arley Broadus, John George, Kristen and Lia Battocchio, Jessica and Justine Graceski, three great-grandchildren, Miranda and Madison Medero, Tyshawn Henderson, two sisters; Toni Cagginello of Bridgeport, Elsie Sabatino of Milford, several nieces and nephews. Postyn, Irma Irma Postyn, age 83 of Easton, CT, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at her home. Irma was born and raised in Bridgeport, CT, a daughter of the late Jacob and Gertrude Greenwald, and attended the University of Connecticut. Mrs. Postyn is survived by her beloved husband, Bernard, her devoted son Jon and his wife Anne, and her cherished grandchildren Greg and his fiancé Katie Lucisano, and Rachel. Mrs. Postyn was predeceased by her daughter, Deborah Postyn. Services will take place Tuesday, May 26th, at 11:00 am, DIRECTLY at the Rodeph Shalom Cemetery on Kings Highway in Fairfield. Shiva will be observed at the home of Bernard Postyn on Tuesday following services until 5:00 pm, and Wednesday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Pullo, Biagio - Trumbull  
Pullo, Biagio Biagio Pullo, age 89, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Vincenza Cortina Pullo, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at St. Vincent's Medical Center with his family by his side. Born in Ripi, Province of Frosinone, Italy on September 4, 1925, he was the son of the late Biagio and Palma Pullo. Mr. Pullo was a labor foreman for Moss and Monaco Construction Companies for many years. He was an avid New York Yankees fan and also enjoyed watching boxing. He spent time at the mall walking and card playing. Some of his favorite hobbies were winemaking, gardening and sausage making and scratch off tickets. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his kind, generous nature. In addition to his wife of 69 years, Vincenza, survivors include two sons, Rocco Pullo of Trumbull and Angelo Pullo and his wife Marilyn of Stratford, five beloved grandchildren, Michael and his wife Angela, Brian, Mark and his wife Sandy, Jason and his wife Abby and Joseph, brothers-in-law, Lino Cortina and his wife Lina and Gino Cortina and his wife Silvana, all of Trumbull and sister-in-law, Sebastiana Cortina of Trumbull and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his brother-in-law, Albert Cortina Sr. and is sister-in-law, Filomena Cortina. Funeral services will take place on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:30 a.m. in Christ the King Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the St. Monica Mausoleum at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
