Carlo Minasi, aged 22 slipped peacefully into the arms of the Lord surrounded by his family at his home in Easton, CT early Thursday morning August 22, 2013 after a long battle with Osteosarcoma.
Carlo had a magnanimous personality and a kind and generous heart. He loved his family and friends. He enjoyed music, skiing, and cars. He had a passion for soccer and loved traveling to Italy to study and be with his family in Rome. Carlo was amazingly empathetic and gracious to every life he touched. Throughout Carlo's illness, he never lost his incredible sense of humor or his compassion and concern for others.
He grew up in Easton where he played soccer for AYSO and he attended the Easton Park and Rec camp each summer. Carlo attended the Easton Public Schools and was a 2009 graduate of Joel Barlow High School. He also attended Keane State College and The University of Connecticut. He spent a semester abroad in Rome where he endeared himself to his professors who still contact his family to inquire about his well being.
He is survived by his loving and devoted parents Leslie and Giuliano and his loving brother and best friend Michele of Easton. He is also survived by his grandparents, Jerry and Anneruth Serman of Weston, Barbara and Martin Holland of Great Neck, NY and Novella Minasi of Rome, Italy, his Aunt, Maria-Grazia of Rome, Italy and his Uncle Todd of New York, NY, Auntie Caren of Trumbull CT along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in Connecticut and Rome, Italy.
A Christian Mass will be held on Saturday August 24th (today) at Notre Dame Church 655 Morehouse Rd. Easton, CT at 1:00 PM.
Carlo knows how much he was loved by his friends and family.
