Christopher G. Tors, age 65, of Southport, dear husband of Linda S. Tors, passed away Monday, December 10, 2012. Born in Budapest, Hungary, Christopher immigrated to the United States during the Hungarian Revolution of November, 1956. Mr. Tors was employed in marketing precious metals for major Wall Street firms including Goldman-Sachs, AIG and UBS from the 1970's to the 1990's. Christopher then founded, owned and operated his own financial executive search firm, Sasqua Group based in Southport. He loved to play classical guitar and built guitars as a hobby. Survivors in addition to his wife Linda include his mother, Alexandra (Alinka) Tors of Bonita Springs, FL; three children, Jason Tors (and wife, Jae Kim Tors) of Sugar Hill, NH, Vera Tors and Maya Tors both of Southport; a grandson, Brody Tors and relatives living in Hungary. He was predeceased by his father Tibor Tors and a brother Peter Tors. A memorial service will be held Friday, December 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Southport Congregational Church, 524 Pequot Avenue, Southport. Interment will be private.
