In loving Memory of Clara Szabo Albrecht, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Clara, 89, of Wallingford, formerly of Easton, passed away, Saturday, May 4, 2013 at her residence. She was the cherished bride of Robert H. Albrecht for 61 years. Clara was born in Fairfield, July 23, 1923, a daughter of the late Sophia and Louis Szabo. She was employed at Dictaphone before devoting her life to nurture and care for her beloved family. She was an active member of First Church Congregational in Fairfield. She enjoyed cooking, reading and researching health and nutrition but most of all spending time with her treasured family. She is survived by her daughters Laura J. Albrecht of Mansfield and Alison A. Scully and her husband Daniel of Middletown, daughter-in-law Patricia C. Albrecht of South Windsor, grandchildren Larisa J. Albrecht and Amy C. Albrecht of South Windsor, Daniel M. Scully, Jr. and his wife Jodi of West Roxbury, MA, and Derek A. Scully and his wife Tiffany of Pittsfield, MA, great grandchildren Tristan A. Scully and Lucas D. Scully and her brother, Louis E. Szabo of Naples, FL and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son R. Mark Albrecht and her sister Eleanor S. Tanky. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service to celebrate her life at 11:00 AM on Saturday June 1, 2013 in the Chapel at First Church Congregational, 148 Beach Road, Fairfield, CT 06824.. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be sent to First Church Congregational in Fairfield. Arrangements are under the direction of The Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main St.
