Donald V. DePasquale, age 91 of Fairfield, beloved husband of the late Eleanor Marie DePasquale, passed away peacefully, Sunday, September 29, 2013 at the Jewish Home for the Elderly. Born in Mount Vernon, NY the son of the late Dominic and Rose DePasquale, he had been a lifelong Mount Vernon resident prior to moving to Fairfield in 1990. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and graduated from New York University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Accounting. Mr. DePasquale worked for many years in Internal Auditing in New York City and Westchester. He was a member of the Italian Civic Association in Mount Vernon and was an avid and devoted New York Yankee fan. Survivors include two beloved daughters, Susan Baudier and her husband David of Williamsburg, VA and Joan Huff and her husband Steven of Fairfield; four cherished grandchildren, David, Nicholas, Anne and Ellen; and a soon-to-be great-granddaughter. In addition to his loving wife and parents he was predeceased by a brother, Carmine DePasquale. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. meeting directly at St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may call Wednesday, from 4-7 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish Home for the Elderly, 175 Jefferson St., Fairfield, CT 06825.
