Langdon- Elmer Langdon, age 92, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2012. Mr. Langdon, beloved husband of Alice Richards Langdon, for sixty five years, was born in Bridgepot on December 11, 1919. Mr. Langdon, a long time Fairfield resident, was Vice President of Industrial and Community Relations for ACCO Bristol Division and formerly Personnel Director of Singer Company. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II. Survivors, in addition to his wife, are three sons and daughters-in-law; Walter and Agnes Hart and Donald and Jean Hart of Fairfield, Richard and Patricia Hart, of Naugatuck; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. He is also survived by one sister, Barbara Nalbone, a cousin, Dorothy Bowen, a niece, Elaine Bonaventura; two nephews, George and Ronald Langdon. He was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters. The family wishes to thank Pastor Jim Marshall of the Black Rock Congregational Church for his friendship and loving spiritual care. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 10 AM DIRECTLY at the First Presbyterian Church of Fairfield, 2475 Easton Turnpike, with burial to follow with full Military Honors at Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield.
