Kennedy, Frank P.
Frank P. Kennedy, Sr., age 82 of Stratford, died on Friday, June 20, 2014 at St. Vincent Medical Center. He had been married to the late Theresa (O'Sullivan) Kennedy for 53 years.
Frank was born in Bridgeport to the late Francis and Loretta Fitzgerald Kennedy. Mr. Kennedy was a veteran of the Korean War
where he had served in the US Army. He had been employed for the City of Bridgeport Board of Education for many years as the head of maintenance and as a special police officer
where he was known as "Cop Kennedy".
He enjoyed treating family and friends to many dinners. Frank was very generous and loved to give gifts to his family. He had enjoyed golfing and playing cards. He and Theresa enjoyed traveling and had many wonderful trips over the years. During the last few years, he made a ritual of meeting with friends in the morning at the Milford Mall and spent afternoons at the Bridgeport Senior Center. Frank had a gruff exterior but underneath that tough shell was a great sense of humor.
