Irma Mischik Bahan

BAHAN Irma Mischik Bahan, age 96, of Milford, beloved wife of the late John P. Bahan, died Tuesday, December 9, 2008. Mrs. Bahan was born in Bridgeport, December 8, 1912 to the late Joseph and Julia Mischik and was a lifelong Milford resident. She was a former member of Orange Hills Country Club where she was an avid golfer and was a longtime parishioner of St. Ann Church. Mrs. Bahan was a member of the Milford Senior Center where she was a "tapper" for many years. Survivors include her nieces, Sheila Milano of West Haven and Nancy Marquis and her husband, William, Sr. and children, William, Jr. and Lindsay, all of Fairfield; a sister, Clara Mischik of Danbury; and several additional nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bahan was predeceased by three brothers, Edward, Alador and Albert Mischik and by a sister, Millie Headford. Friends are invited to attend the funeral Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 9 a.m. DIRECTLY in St. Ann Church with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. There will be no calling hours. Contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice in Mrs. Bahan's memory. The Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford, is in charge of arrangements.
