Kurt R. Brosgé, of Mission Texas, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2013 at the age of 71 surrounded by his loving family. Kurt was born and raised in Stratford, Connecticut son of the late Kurt J. and Helene O. Brosgé. He lived the majority of his life in Stratford and Shelton Connecticut.
He moved to Texas 8 years ago where he resided with his loving wife of 50 years Donna C. (Rickel) Brosgé. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory three daughters, Karen and (Michael) of Palm City Florida, Lori and (Steven M. Stoltz, MD) of Mission Texas and Wendy of Mission Texas.
He was the beloved grandfather of Evan, Zack, Paige and Kara who were the pride and joy of his life. They will dearly miss their "Papa".
He also precedes his brother Rick and (Nettie) of Indiana, several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Kurt was a graduate of Stratford High School and attended Bridgeport Engineering Institute. He was employed and retired from Sikorsky Aircraft as a Manufacturing Engineer and was a member of the Sikorsky Fishing Club as well as serving in the Army Reserve.
He was the owner of White Hills Building and Remodeling and a volunteer fireman for White Hills Company #5 in Shelton for many years.
After moving to Texas he continued to enjoy his passion for camping, boating, fishing, woodworking and photography, but most of all time spent with his family.
Kurt was also working part-time for the non-profit organization, South Texas Institutes of Health, (STXIH), owned and operated by his family, serving the community through outreach and clinical research.
Kurt will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service was held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, McAllen Texas on January 2, 2014. The family requests memorial contributions may be made to "South Texas Institutes of Health Cancer Fund" 308 Lindberg Ave. McAllen, Texas 78501. Kreidlerfuneralhome.com
