Leona Lee Binkley Lovington, age 85, beloved wife of Paul Leon Lovington of Stratford passed away on Sunday February 17, 2013 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Enos Emerson Binkley and Edith Nill Binkley. She was a phlebotomist at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio before staying at home to raise her family. Leona was a member of First Congregational Church of Stratford for over fifty five years where she served at various times as a deaconess, as a member of the Women's Service League, on the board of trustees and on other committees and service organizations at the church. Leona enjoyed traveling, playing bridge, gardening, and watching UCONN women's basketball., but most of all being with her family. Survivors in addition to her husband Paul of sixty years include two devoted sons; Mark P. Lovington of Bolton, MA and Wayne M. Lovington and his wife Karen of Guilford, CT., a twin brother, Robert Lynn Binkley of Ohio, five grandchildren, Jeffrey M., Timothy J.,Scott R., Julianna Elizabeth, and Aimee Lee Lovington, nieces and nephews, Becky Binkley, Bonnie Chima, Lisa Hollis, Matthew Binkley, and Darin Binkley. She was predeceased by her brother Larry Binkley and niece Brenda Thomas. Visiting hours will be held on Friday February 22, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Dennis & D'Arcy - Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St. Stratford. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday February 23, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the First Congregational Church, 2301 Main St. Stratford, CT 06615 with the Rev.
