Michael "Mike" W. Falk., age 87 of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Sunday May 4, 2014 at Maefair Health Care Center. He was the beloved of his first wife, the late Martha Bielski Falk, and also husband to the late Patricia Schwarzkopf Falk during his second marriage. He was a quiet, peaceful man who was loved by everyone who knew him. Born in Bridgeport, CT., on August 20, 1926, Michael was the twin son of the late Michael F. and Catherine Lopat Falk. Michael's twin brother was the late George M. Falk of Trumbull. A Trumbull resident for over 70 Years, he was a retired lead man at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford for over 42 years. Michael was a veteran of the Korean War and served as a Corporal in the Army for 2 years. He was also a member of the Bridgeport VFW post and was active in several organizations including membership in the German Schwaben Club, the Connecticut Historical Automobile Society, St. Catherine Rosary Group and volunteered at Maefair. In his younger years he enjoyed attending Polka dances, loved fresh water fishing and excelled at the outdoor game of Horseshoe pitching. Survivors include his children Bill Falk of Trumbull, Cathy Bradshaw and husband Jim of Wake Forest, NC. A granddaughter Victoria Bradshaw, several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend funeral services on Friday May 9th at 10am in Our Lady of Grace Church, Stratford, followed by interment in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford with full military honors. Calling hours will take place in the Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main St. Bridgeport, on Friday morning after 8:30am until time of service.
