Paulina "Mimi" Gonzalez, age 80, of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Northbridge Health Care Center with her loving family by her side. Mimi migrated from Puerto Rico in 1952 she was the widow of the late Marcial Gonzalez for over 50 years, she had a strong will and took care of everyone in her family and others alike. Paulina was a faithful catholic, she was known for her rice pudding (arroz con dulce) for the holidays and also the icy and cupcake lady in father panic village, she was very special and miss dearly. Born July 2, 1932 in Guayama, Puerto Rico Mimi was the second child of seven, she was the beloved daughter of the late Hermenegildo & Casimira Soto. Paulina is survived by: six children from eldest to youngest, Fancesca & son-in-law Francisco Maldonado, Ismael Gonzalez, Maria & son-in-law Heriberto Labrador, Irma Gonzalez all of Bridgeport, William & daughter-in-law Rosemary Gonzalez of Waterbury, Richard & daughter-in-law Elouise Gonzalez of Norwalk, two siblings Carmen Soto of NY., Maria Calo of FL., sixteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends. Mimi reunites with predeceased son Roberto Gonzalez.
