Pedro A. Hernandez age 76 of Kissimmee, FL. entered into eternal rest October 23, 2012 at the Osceola Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Pedro was born April 9, 1936 to the late Pedro Hernandez-Lopez and Ana Juarbe in Camuy, Puerto Rico. After moving to Bridgeport, CT in 1950, he went on to proudly serve his community as both a Bridgeport Police Officer
and a Bridgeport Supernumerary Policeman for over 20 years before settling into retirement in central Florida. Pedro will always be remembered for his kindness and generosity to others as well as his longtime association with Bridgeport's Borinquen softball league. Pedro was predeceased by his brothers Silverio and Pedro E. Hernandez. He is survived by his Brother Pedro Luis Hernandez and Sisters Lydia Hernandez of P.R., and Diana Hernandez of NY. He is also survived by his loving wife of 57 years Iris, Daughters Ana Hernandez, Ruth Tejada and husband Juan of Kissimmee, FL., Brenda Thibodeau and husband Andre of Roxbury, CT., Michelle Rodriguez and husband Victor of Bridgeport, CT., Sons Clarence Hernandez of Kissimmee, FL., Joseph Hernandez and wife Frances of Seymour, CT., Grandchildren Jose Berrios, Israel and Melissa Padin, Elliot Acevedo, Sebastian and Mathew Bermeo all of Kissimmee, FL., Eileen Hernandez, Ricardo, Krystal, and Tiffany DeLeon of Bridgeport, CT., David Westphal of Trumbull, CT., Alexis Thibodeau of Roxbury, CT., Joseph Hernandez II, and Fitzgerald Giusti II of Bridgeport, CT. His Great-Grandchildren include Anthony, Michelle, Genesis, and Emily Berrios, Elliot Jr. and Jaden Acevedo of Kissimmee, FL., Elijah DeLeon, Jordan, Jayden, and Savannah Cortes of Bridgeport, CT., Ceazer Giusti of Seymour, CT, and Kimberly Hernandez of Bridgeport, CT., as well as several loving nephews and nieces. A private service and interment will be held in Kissimmee, Florida.
