Philip Barske, Age 96, of Sharon, MA, formerly of North Easton, MA. Phil was born and raised in Fairfield, CT and was a resident for over 50 years. Died peacefully at home on August 23, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 64 years, Doris. Survived by his cherished daughter, Jane B. Kelly and her husband, Doug, of Sharon, his two adored grandsons, Ryan Kelly, of North Easton and Tyler Kelly of Sharon, and many nieces and nephews. Dr. Barske was a noted wildlife biologist, made conservation his life-long vocation and was recognized as a leading practitioner of wetlands creation, restoration and enhancement. After studying forestry and wildlife management at the University of CT, he earned a master's degree in conservation and wildlife management at the University of Michigan. He worked for the Wildlife Management Institute for 33 years, traveling all over the northeast from Virginia to the Canadian Provinces promoting wise use of natural resources. After receiving a doctorate in applied ecology from Antioch College, he continued in the field as a private consultant. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choosing.
